Dr. Michelle Anthony is the Executive Pastor of Families at New Life Church and Dean of Youthmin Academy. She is the author of Spiritual Parenting,The Big God Story, Becoming a Spiritually Healthy Family, A Theology of Familiy Ministry and her newest book, 7 Family Ministry Essentials. Michelle has over 30 years of church ministry and leadership experience in children’s and family ministries and graduate degrees in Christian Education, Bible and Theology from Talbot School of Theology and and her doctorate of Education from Southern Seminary. In her free time, Michelle enjoys being with her family, reading a good book, and the beach while drinking a strong cup of coffee.
Megan Fate Marshman has devoted her life to loving and listening to God and overflowing His love to others. In addition to speaking internationally to a wide variety of audiences, Megan empowers women as the Director of Women’s Ministries at Hume Lake Christian Camps, leads young adults into a deeper relationship with Jesus at Arbor Road Church, and equips youth leaders as the Associate Dean of Youthmin Academy. She co-wrote the book 7 Family Ministry Essentials and served as the director of student resources for David C Cook as she led a team in creating TruIdentity: a spiritually forming, Christ centered and family empowered youth ministry curriculum line. Megan lives in Long Beach, California with her husband and son.
Brady is the Senior Pastor of New Life Church. He's married to his college sweetheart, Pam and is the dad to great kids named Abram and Callie. He has written several books, including: Addicted to Busy, Fear No Evil, Sons & Daughters, Let Her Lead, and Speak Life. He's also really serious about caring for the people of Colorado Springs by opening numerous Dream Centers. He has a degree in Journalism from Louisiana Tech and has been a radio announcer for professional baseball and basketball teams. Before coming to New Life in 2007, he served Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas for almost seven years.
Glenn Packiam is the lead pastor of New life Downtown, a congregation of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is the author of Discover the Mystery of Faith (David C. Cook, 2013), LUCKY: How the Kingdom Comes to Unlikely People (Cook, 2011), Secondhand Jesus: Trading Rumors of God for a Firsthand Faith (Cook, 2009), and Butterfly in Brazil: How Your Life Can Make a World of Difference (Tyndale, 2007). Glenn holds a BA in Theological/Historical Studies, a Masters in Management, and, after doing two years of graduate work at Fuller Theological Seminary, is now a postgraduate researcher at St. John's College at Durham University in the UK, where he is in the process of earning a doctorate in theology. Glenn, his wife, Holly, their four children are enjoying life in the shadow of the mighty Rocky Mountains.
Angelina Pavone is the Children’s Pastor at ROCKHARBOR Church in Costa Mesa, CA. She was part of the team that developed the Tru curriculum and has been in children’s ministry for over 10 years. Angelina loves being a wife to her husband Alex, and a mama to her two boys, Micah and Seth.
Courtney Wilson is the Elementary Pastor at Christ Community Church in St Charles, IL. She has been serving in children's ministry for 18 years in churches of various sizes and locations. A regular contributor to Homefront magazine, she is passionate about encouraging and equipping parents to find joy in raising kids to know and love God and have faith in Jesus. Courtney's favorite role is being mom to three amazing sons and an awesome daughter, and can often be heard as the loudest mom during their cross country races.
Cristi Thomas is currently the Associate Director of Children’s Ministry at the McLean Bible Church Montgomery County campus in the Washington DC Metro area. Prior to joining the staff at McLean, Cristi was a writer/editor and team lead in the development of the Tru curriculum. She has been in children’s ministry for over 20 years and considers it a privilege to see kids grow in faith from childhood to adulthood.
Jim Burns is the President of HomeWord and the Executive Director of the HomeWord Center for Youth and Family at Azusa Pacific University. Jim speaks to thousands of people around the world each year. He has close to 2 million resources in print in 30 languages. He primarily writes and speaks on the values of HomeWord which are: Strong Marriages, Confident Parents, Empowered Kids, and Healthy Leaders. Some of his most popular books are: Confident Parenting, The Purity Code, Creating an Intimate Marriage and Closer. Jim and his wife, Cathy live Southern California and have three grown daughters, Christy, Rebecca and Heidi.
Dr. Michael Anthony served as a professor of Christian education and nonprofit management at Biola University/Talbot School of Theology for 27 years. He is currently the chief operations officer and chief financial officer at Dream Centers here in Colorado Springs. In addition, he is also president of Calibrate Global Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping ministry leaders thrive.
Stephanie Henderson serves as an Executive Pastor of Women, Creative Arts and Section Community at New Life Church. She is the author of “Unforgettable – God’s Relentless Heart for His Daughters” and “Her Heart Is Torn.” Stephanie brings over 30 years of passionate ministry and leadership experience including 12 years as a women’s conference speaker. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she enjoys spending time cooking southern food with her husband George. Their family includes their daughter Jessica, sons, John Mark and his wife Lisa, James and his wife, Rebecca. They recently celebrated the arrival of their first grandchild, Haven Faith.
Holly Newman is the Children’s Elementary Director at New Life Church in Colorado Springs. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jared Newman, for 18 years. They have four children: two girls and two boys. Holly has a passion for family ministry that leads others to create influential, faith- building moments with their children.
Jeff Bachman has been in youth ministry for 24 years and is currently working at Mariners in Mission Viejo, CA as the High School Pastor. He is passionate about getting a glimpse of the eternal though the lives of the people he works with that passionately seek out Christ in their life on a daily basis. He and his wife of 16 years, Shara, have three children, Jackson (11), Isabella (9), and Charlotte (7). Jeff loves music, cooking, traveling, comic books, and sitting over conversation with a beverage.
Tim Shepard was born and raised in Colorado Springs. He has been at New Life Church since childhood, which is where he met his beautiful wife Mariah. His passion is to disciple students in their relationship with Jesus, and to see the Word made alive on a personal level. He loves the mountains, and will never turn down an opportunity to hit the slopes.
Jill is the Children’s Ministry Pastor at Journey of Faith in Manhattan Beach, CA. She has a strong desire to help parents understand their calling as the primary nurturers of their child's faith. Her favorite thing about children's ministry is seeing faith develop in the life of a young child as the reality of God's great love transforms their heart. Jill graduated from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and has a Bachelors degree in Geography and Sociology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Jill married her husband Brian in 2011 and they have a beautiful daughter named Corinne. Jill is an avid reader who loves to play games, go on dates with her husband, play with her daughter, and laugh with friends.
Jeff Fernandez is the worship director at Beachcities Community Church in Huntington Beach, CA. He is passionate about empowering volunteers to become leaders and ministers of the gospel. He’s been married for three years to his wife Heidi and enjoys cooking.
Jared Newman has a passion for middle school ministry, and has been working with these students and their families for the past 17 years. Jared is a film producer and ministry consultant at New Life Church in the Junior High Ministry. He and his wife, Holly, have four children and have enjoyed living in Colorado since 2005.
Josh is a proud Hoosier that hails from the suburbs of Indianapolis and is currently the Young Adults pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs. Josh is passionate about seeing young adults grow in their faith and integrate into the local church body. He and his wife, Jacey, have an 18-month-old baby boy named Rush and love the Rocky Mountains, camping, The Office, and yes, a good cup of coffee.
Mark is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a nationally certified counselor (NCC), and President and CEO of Mayfield Counseling Centers. Mark has over 14 years of professional counseling experience in clinical, judicial, and faith-based counseling settings. He conducts therapy with families, couples, individuals, and groups and has a passion to provide exceptional care for military service members and their families. I also train other clinicians through LPCC supervision. Mark has lived in Colorado for almost 24 years, is married to an amazing woman of faith, and they have raised two beautiful daughters.
Matt is the Executive Director of the International Network of Children’s Ministry (INCM). Having spent 11 years as a Children’s Pastor and Campus Pastor, Matt also holds a Master’s Degree in Children’s and Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary. Matt is the co-author of the soon to be released, First Steps Together Family Devotional: For Families with Babies and Toddlers Ages 0-2 (RoseKidz, with Noel Guevara) and Journeying Together: Family Devotional For Families with Preschool and Elementary Kids (RoseKidz with Noel Guevara). Matt and his wife Noel live in Rockford, Illinois and they often laugh about life with their four loud and adorable kids, Isabel, Sofia, Zion, and Josie.
Matt is the Children’s Pastor at Crossroads Christian Church in Shawnee, KS and has been in children’s and family ministry for 9 years. Previous to family ministry Matt was an upper elementary and middle school teacher. Matt has a beautiful wife named Stephanie and 4 boys, ages 12, 7, 5, and 2. The entire Richards family loves sports but especially soccer and basketball.
Michael Covington is a Team Leader for Disciplr. His role and his passions combine to provide a unique perspective on how churches and ministries can (and should) do discipleship digitally. Michael, his wife, and two boys live in Colorado Springs, CO.
Nancy Thompson is Pastor to Children and Families at Pine Lake Covenant Church in Sammamish, Washington and has been serving in ministry for over twelve years. Nancy loves to help others discover the joy of family ministry and is passionate about helping kids find their place in the Big God Story as they fall in love with Jesus. Nancy has three children, two teens and an almost college graduate, who make her laugh daily.
Before the last year, Noah spent 10 years in Waco, Texas overseeing a kids ministry of 750+ kids at Antioch Community Church. He coached churches throughout the Antioch movement and with David C Cook and moved to Colorado to be the Executive Pastor at Antioch Fort Collins. A Tru user since the beginning, he is passionate about the kids, the family, the nations, and all things Jesus. He and his wife Allison have three kids and are passionate about the local church being the hope of the world.
Samantha is the Special Needs Coordinator at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO. She grew up in East Texas but is loving the mountain life. She and her husband, Joseph, are former elementary teachers turned foster parents. Some of their favorite things to do with the kids include playing outside, taking the dogs for a walk, and exploring the local hiking trails.
Debbie is the Editor in Chief of HomeFront magazine. She has more than 25 years experience working in children’s and family ministries. She is passionate about equipping parents to become leaders of God’s truth in their own households. She is a recent transplant to Austin, Tx where she spends her free time with her four grandchildren and perusing antique stores.
Jason Jackson is the executive pastor of New Life Downtown. He has previously served churches in Oklahoma and Kentucky as a youth pastor, a teaching pastor, and a lead director of discipleship ministries. He coauthored “Echo: A Catechism for Discipleship in the Ancient Christian Tradition”, and he’s currently writing a Bible study on Amos. Jason holds a BA in Pastoral Ministry from Oral Roberts University and MAs in Biblical Studies and Theological Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Jason and his wife Sarah have been married for 12 years and they are taking a crash course in parenting with their three daughters.
Patti Fenton is the Pastor to Parents and Families at New Life Church and is passionate about ministry to children and their families. With a Masters in Organizational Leadership, Patti’s favorite thing about ministry is helping parents to catch the vision of their God-given role as the primary influencer of their children’s faith. In her free time, Patti likes to travel to see her children (and her grand-daughter, Bella) or you might find her on an outdoor adventure with Bob, her hubby of 33 years.
Laurie Bennett has been involved in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years. She is the Director of Early Childhood at New Life Church in lovely Colorado Springs, Colorado. She loves the long days of summer, hiking, camping and each moment spent with her family.
Brad lives in Colorado Springs with his Wife (Carrie) and their four children (ages 5, 9, 11 and 13). He serves as an Executive Pastor at New Life Church overseeing the Children, Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Brad gets outdoors as often as possible to fish, hike, bike, ski and find adventure with his family. He holds a masters degree in ministry leadership and thoroughly enjoys the varied opportunities he gets to write, speak, and invest in young leaders.
Kwan enjoys life with his beautiful wife Beth and their 3 kids. He is a graduate of Calvary Bible College with a degree in Biblical Counseling. He believes in families and the role God has placed on them to display His glory.
Jeff McCullough has been in the music industry for over 28 years and has created education songs used by Disney to teach over 500,000 kids each year. He created JumpStart3 to help his own family learn God's word through music and motion to create resources used in over 100 countries.
As the Senior Director of Children's Ministries for the Assemblies of God, Mark Entzminger is driven to help children understand and experiencing a Spirit-empowered life. He works to equip local church in discipling children to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and respond to His call.
Lindsay Barker is an Assistant Director of Woodmen Kids, and leads the Kid’s Ministry at Woodmen Valley Chapel’s third campus, which meets in an elementary school near Gleneagle, a neighborhood in Colorado Springs. Lindsay has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and has over 15 years of combined experience teaching in public schools, and involvement in multiple areas of ministry. Lindsay and her husband, Ryan, are the parents of four beautiful children, ranging in ages from 11-4.
Jon is the Executive Pastor of Community at New Life Church. He's married to Charlene, a high school math teacher, and has two beautiful teenage daughters — Selah and Samara. He has a master's degree in Leadership from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, is a PROSCI certified change management practitioner, and a facilitator for The Leadership Challenge. Jon is passionate about local church leadership and believes strongly in empowering and developing healthy, high functioning leaders. Prior to joining the staff at New Life, Jon was a coach of church leaders at Church Community Builder and served in pastoral ministry in Indiana for over 20 years.
Daniel grew up as a pastor's kid in Tulsa, Oklahoma and loved his upbringing in the church. After playing a little bit of Division I basketball and a lot of music at Oral Roberts University, he received his degree in Theology in 2005. That same summer, Daniel married his bride, Lisa, and a week after their wedding they moved to Colorado Springs to join the staff of New Life Church. They have three children--Lillian, Wilson, and Wakley--and they love to get outside to enjoy the rugged beauty of Colorado. Daniel serves as the lead pastor of the New Life Friday Night congregation.
Founder and Executive Director of the Christian Grandparenting Network. Cavin writes a weekly blog called Courageous Grandparenting, serves as Assistant Resource Director for the Legacy Coalition, hosts a monthly online GrandChat Live! for grandparents, is an author and speaker. Cavin and Diane were married in 1969, have two daughters and nine grandchildren. Their home is in Colorado Springs.
Melissa Galban is the Director of Children & Youth at Forest Home and a graduate of Chapman University, where she studied Public Relations. Melissa has served at Forest Home Christian Camp for the last 3 years and enjoys coaching up the next generation of leaders within the ministry. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors in the sunshine with her family (preferably next to a lake!), reading, and creating & crafting. Melissa and her husband, Dave, reside in California with their teenage son.
